Internship – Sustainable Building – Investigating Physical Characteristics of Buildings

As an intern in Sustainable Building, you play a crucial role in our pursuit of designing and builing sustainable buildings. You will delve into an engaging problem statement: how can we determine, based on the physical characteristics of a building, whether it is suitable for energy neutrality?
What you do:
Literature Study:
- Explore previous studies on energy-neutral building practices.
- Identify relevant variables, both in terms of construction and installation.
Study VABI Elements of Different Shapes:
- Simulate various shapes to determine the optimal design and tipping point for energy neutrality.
Study with VABI Elements of Different Building Types:
- Investigate the influence of building types on energy neutrality.
- Assign different functions to building shapes and set conditions for energy neutrality.

You are:
- Studying in a relevant field, such as Building Physics, Architecture, Sustainable Technology, or a similar discipline.
- Interested in sustainable construction and energy neutrality.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Independent and proactive.
- Able to write the project and do research in Dutch
