Thursday the 2nd of October the first lunch lecture took place. Suzan Timmer presented Royal HaskoningDHV. After a short introduction of the company some of their fire safety projects were discussed. Next to national projects like hospitals and the NEMO science center in Amsterdam, Royal HaskoningDHV has also international projects which are mostly airports, public transport stations and datacenters.

The second presentation was given by Kees Maurik of Valstar Simonis. The company invests in using BIM (building information modeling) with simulation program Revit. This makes Valstar Simonis one of the leading companies in the use of this rather new technology.

This lunch lecture was visited by 40 students.
