We visited Boekel Ecovillage on May 26th, a place which values sustainability and innovation. A tour was given by Ad Vlems, initiator of this alternative community. We learned about the application of innovative building materials, installations and wastewater management. After the tour, we were treated to a delicious homemade lunch, with vegetables grown in their own communal garden. It has been a great first contact with this community of dreamers and inventors with an optimistic, but realistic view of the world.
