Python workshop
27-11-2019
15:30 - 17:30
VRT 5.07
Hey hey everybody,
I’m giving a workshop for people who want to learn the Python basics! To get a bit of hands-on experience, we’re going to use Excel data that we’re going to organise and plot beautifully using Python. Think of this case to be like an export from your favourite simulation software or measurements that you want to plot. Here is what we are going to discuss:
- Why use Python in our field?
- The basics of Python
- Working with Excel data
- Plotting, e.g.:
- Box plots
- RMSE plots
- Carpet plots
- How to do maths in Python
- How to use Google if you’re stuck
All in all, it is going to be a Python extravaganza for n00bs who like their Excel data, but can’t always get the plots/results they want with it. Also, you can automate a lot of plotting with this. I hope I can try and make you see the power of using code in your project.
Attending the workshop will earn you 3 activity points! Sign up below with your TU/e email address! (log in first)
